Michael Coles believes that everyone in Georgia deserves to know that the water they drink is safe and clean. A strong supporter of Georgia’s environmental legacy, Coles will fight to ensure safe and clean drinking water for all Georgians by making sure conservation laws are enforced and by forcing developers to pay for the pollution they cause. Ten years ago, Michael joined the effort to force Atlanta to clean up its drinking water. And in the United States Senate, no one will be a stronger advocate for clean water. |

Michael supports legislation that would earmark federal dollars to hire 100,000 new teachers for the early grades, cutting class sizes to an average of 18 students. And Coles believes that Georgia’s children deserve to go to school in buildings that are safe and permanent. Veterans |
Michael Coles believes that Georgia veterans deserve the medical benefits they earned for years of service to this country… A strong advocate for veterans, Coles will fight to stop the assault that Paul Coverdell and the United States Congress have mounted on veterans' medical benefits in order to pay for other programs. Michael is well aware that, in exchange for 20 years of service, America’s veterans were promised health care for life, and he believes that those promises should be kept. Michael Coles is committed to stopping the assault on veterans’ medical benefits and will work to restore the funds that have been plundered. |
