Marietta
Michael addresses students

On September 10, Michael spoke to students at Wheeler and East Cobb High Schools in Marietta.  (For photos from Wheeler, go to the Wheeler High School page of the Photo Gallery, and for more information, see The Marietta Daily Journal article.)

Michael and his family walked in the Marietta Fourth of July parade, backed by a crowd of supporters.

On August 12, Michael addressed the Cobb Association for Retarded Citizens at their annual Awards and Installation Dinner in Marietta.  (For photos from this event, go to the Cobb Arc page of the Photo Gallery.)

Michael also attended the Marietta High School Class of 1963 Reunion and Dedication honoring John Jackie Smallwood, an Air Force Pilot and MIA from Marietta.  During the reunion, the baseball field was dedicated to Smallwood.

Earlier in the year, Michael attended the 1998 Cobb County Jefferson Jackson Dinner and the 1998 Taste of Georgia, both held in Marietta.
