The big difference between Coverdell and Coles is that Coles knows that our country must provide this service for retirees because the premiums have already been paid with blood, sacrifice, and years of service.  Michael is honorable, ethical, and fair.  He believes that our Congress must be the same way.  He will defend and support a strong military.

The recent move in Congress to shortchange funding for veterans’ health care and divert money into pork-barrel political projects shows just how much we need Michael’s leadership.  He was in the front lines of the national battle to restore the veterans’ benefits, and all veterans’ owe him a great debt of gratitude for his bravery in successfully leading this fight.

Our country needs good men like Michael Coles in the most important positions of our government, and I urge all veterans everywhere to vote for and support Michael Coles for the United States Senate!

Michael Coles, who is seeking to replace Coverdell, has promised that when he is elected he would place an amendment restoring our health care benefits on every bill that comes before the Senate.  If we want to maintain a strong military, people like Coverdell must be voted out of office.
